The 2025 Barcelona Boat Show Sets a New Course and Attracts Leading Industry Brands

The Barcelona International Boat Show, scheduled from 8 to 12 October 2025, is entering a new phase of development. Organised by Fira de Barcelona in collaboration with the National Association of Nautical Companies (ANEN), the event is aiming to position itself as a key commercial platform for Mediterranean yachting. This 2025 edition signals a strategic shift: expanded exhibition areas, new brands, a focus on large yachts, and an upgraded offering targeting a more qualified and purchasing-ready audience.

Top international groups confirm their participation

This year’s edition will feature major players in the global nautical industry:

  • Brunswick Group, a global leader (owner of Mercury, Sea Ray, Boston Whaler…)
  • Beneteau Group, the European leader in both sailboats and powerboats

These will be joined by long-standing exhibitors who are renewing their participation:

  • Boat builders: Jeanneau, Fountaine Pajot, Lagoon, Rodman, Sasga, Nuva, Sessa, Zodiac, X-Yachts, Pardo, Leopard…
  • Equipment brands: Garmin, Touron, Recambios Marinos, Solé Diesel, Movilmotors…

Several new national and international names are joining the show:

  • Spanish builders: Cleemenss, Kumbra, Level, Maxim
  • Italian builders: Elegance, Explorer, Rio Yachts
  • Other notable brands: Galeon, Horizon, Kawasaki, Pearl, Prestige, Princess

In total, more than 180 exhibitors are expected, presenting around 600 boats across all sectors.

A premium upgrade with a new dock for superyachts

For the first time, the Moll de Barcelona dock will host yachts over 20 metres in length, adding to the existing exhibition areas:

A shuttle boat will connect the Moll de Barcelona and Moll d’Espanya to facilitate access across the show.

An event tailored to a qualified, buying audience

This edition of the show is targeting a more selective and purchasing-oriented visitor profile, with a wide selection of vessels:

  • Small powerboats (under 6 metres)
  • Sailing and power catamarans
  • Cruising sailboats
  • Yachts and superyachts
  • New eco-friendly and innovative models

Objective: Attract international buyers and decision-makers ready to invest.

This strategic realignment follows the launch of the 2025–2028 Strategic Plan, which aims to:

  • Raise the quality of the exhibitors’ offer
  • Strengthen international visibility
  • Improve the visitor experience
  • Promote sustainability and innovation

A mixed market context but strong momentum

According to data published by ANEN, based on the Spanish Directorate General for Merchant Marine, the Spanish recreational boating market registered 2,792 new boats in the first half of 2025 – an 8% decrease compared to the same period in 2024. A decline that reflects:

  • Consumer caution due to inflation
  • Growth in premium and luxury segments
  • A resilient charter sector

For ANEN’s general director, Jordi Carrasco, the Barcelona Boat Show remains a vital commercial driver for the industry and a key platform to boost sales and business development.

Sustainability and innovation at the heart of the agenda

The show’s side programme, currently being developed in coordination with the Port of Barcelona, will focus on key topics such as:

  • Blue economy
  • Energy transition in boating
  • Digital transformation
  • New forms of marine mobility

These topics reflect the sector’s growing environmental and technological ambitions.

A premium gastronomic experience to foster networking

A new 2,500 m² social and gourmet village will be introduced at Moll de la Fusta. Designed as a space for high-level networking, it will feature cuisine by renowned chef Rafa Zafra, known for his restaurants in Barcelona, Ibiza, Madrid and Monte Carlo.

The offerings include:

  • Six-course tasting menu for €150 per person
  • Open bar and tapas starting at €5.80

The goal is to create a premium environment conducive to business exchanges and partnerships.

A must-attend event for industry professionals and yachting enthusiasts

As boat shows across Europe adapt to new market realities, the 2025 Barcelona Boat Show stands out for its ambition: becoming the leading business hub for large yachts and international buyers in the Mediterranean.

A key date for both professionals and passionate sailors to mark in their calendars.
