Antares 9: Beneteau Reinvents Its Iconic Weekender

With the new Antares 9, Beneteau continues to evolve one of its flagship ranges, rooted in the heritage of the original pêche-promenade boats that marked the shipyard’s beginnings. Designed for coastal getaways and short cruises, this updated version remains true to the principles that built the brand’s success: functional, accessible boats tailored to the needs of leisure boaters.

This new model will make its world premiere at Boot Düsseldorf, taking place from January 18 to 26, 2025.

A Design True to the Antares Spirit

The Antares 9 features modernized lines inspired by larger models such as the Antares 11 and 12. Its sleek yet dynamic profile stands out with large windows and a characteristic wheelhouse arch that reinforces the range’s identity. Careful attention to materials, including walnut wood finishes, adds to the boat’s understated and practical aesthetic. a boat in direct competition with the Merry Fisher 895.

Both exterior and interior spaces have been optimized to meet the expectations of boaters seeking a balance between navigation, relaxation, and conviviality.

Onboard Comfort Designed for Getaways

The cockpit layout remains a key asset of this model. Modular in design, it features an L-shaped bench that can be converted into a U-shaped seating area with an additional seat. It can also be configured into a sunbathing area, ideal for relaxation at anchor. A sliding glass door ensures fluid movement between the outdoor and indoor living spaces.

Inside, the focus is on natural light, with large windows offering extended visibility. The wheelhouse houses a compact, fully equipped galley, while the adaptable salon can accommodate up to five people thanks to a swiveling pilot seat.

The forward cabin, featuring a queen-size bed, along with a second guest cabin, provides comfortable sleeping accommodations for small groups. An optional additional berth in the saloon completes the layout.

Performance for Coastal Navigation

Equipped with an outboard engine offering up to 500 HP, the Antares 9 provides a range of 130 nautical miles at cruising speed. The hull design, constructed using injection technology, improves rigidity and ensures comfort at sea by minimizing noise and vibrations.

The ergonomic helm station, complete with a side door, simplifies maneuvering both in port and at sea. The wider starboard side deck, combined with secure guardrails, offers easy access to the foredeck, where a sunbathing area with adjustable backrests completes the relaxation space.

Versatility for Discerning Boaters

With this updated version, Beneteau delivers a versatile and practical model that meets the expectations of today’s boaters. Staying true to the spirit of the range’s early pêche-promenade units, the Antares 9 modernizes its design while preserving its core values: offering a boat tailored for weekend coastal cruising, with comfort, safety, and functionality at its core.

This model is ideal for boaters seeking a compact unit that caters to both relaxation and more active coastal navigation.
